Matthias Lauron en quelques mots

Jockey de plat originaire du Sud-Ouest, Matthias Lauron débute sa carrière très tôt ; en 2012 à l’âge de 16ans. Cette année-là, il signe sa première victoire en selle sur Tonnerre Bleu, élève de son formateur Thierry Lemer. En 2013, il est sacré Etrier d’Or, récompense décernée au meilleur apprenti.

Les choses s’enchainent alors rapidement pour le jeune homme d’alors 18 ans, qui se voit proposer fin mars 2014 une place dans l’écurie de Jean-Claude Rouget à Pau. Il saisit cette opportunité et remporte dans la foulée, le 6 avril, la 70ème course de sa carrière avec Hectomare, sous la houlette de son nouvel entraîneur, et passe ainsi professionnel.
