Pierre-Charles Boudot en quelques mots

Originaire de Paray-le-Monial en Saône-et-Loire, Pierre-Charles Boudot est né le 21 décembre 1992 et est le fils du regretté Marc Boudot.

Il intègre l’école du Moulin-à-Vent de Gouvieux à 14 ans et est placé chez André Fabre où il effectue son apprentissage et travaille toujours actuellement.

Pierre-Charles Boudot débute sa carrière le 29 mars 2009 sur l’hippodrome de Loudéac. Un peu plus de quatorze mois plus tard, le 7 juillet 2010 à Clairefontaine, il remporte la soixante-dixième victoire de sa jeune carrière en selle sur Delta Black Sheep et passe ainsi professionnel.

Il s’adjuge son premier Groupe le 5 septembre 2010 en selle sur Brigantin dans le Prix de Lutèce (G.III). Avec ce cheval, il épingle également le Prix Vicomtesse Vigier (G.II) et se classe troisième de la Gold Cup (G.I) en 2011.

Le 13 juillet 2014, il triomphe pour la première fois au niveau Groupe I dans le Grand Prix de Paris grâce à Gallante, entrainé par André Fabre.

Durant le même été, il remporte son deuxième succès au plus haut niveau dans le Prix Rothschild (G.I) en selle sur Esotérique, jument avec laquelle il s'impose dans le Prix Jacques Le Marois (G.I) 2015.

Fin 2015, Pierre-Charles Boudot termine premier ex-aequo (179 succès) avec Christophe Soumillon et décroche sa première Cravache d'Or.

En 2016, il décroche une deuxième Cravache d'Or à l'issue d'une année exceptionnelle. Avec 300 succès à son compteur, il bat le record de succès en une année en France détenu par Christophe Soumillon (228 en 2013) et celui du record de succès en une année dans un seul pays de l'Union Européenne appartenant à Peter Schiergen (271 en 1995).

Le 21 mars 2017, Pierre-Charles Boudot s'offre la 1000ème victoire de sa carrière en selle sur Rajkumar.
