Vincent Cheminaud en quelques mots

Fils de l’ancien jockey Christophe Cheminaud, Vincent Cheminaud intègre l’AFASEC de Mont-de-Marsan à l’âge de 13 ans. Il effectue son apprentissage chez Emmanuel Clayeux avant de rejoindre l’écurie d’Arnaud Chaillé-Chaillé à l’âge de 16 ans, puis de devenir jockey freelance.

Le jeune homme remporte son premier groupe I, le Prix Ferdinand Dufaure (2013), à l’âge de 19 ans, en selle sur Storm Of Saintly. C’est avec ce pensionnaire de Guillaume Macaire que Vincent Cheminaud atteint la consécration suprême en s’adjugeant le Grand Steeple-Chase de Paris en 2014. Cette même année, le jeune homme devient Cravache d'Or en obstacle pour la première fois.

L'année 2015 est un tournant pour Vincent Cheminaud puisqu'il décide de se consacrer uniquement à la discipline du plat quelques jours après avoir remporté le prestigieux Prix du Jockey Club (G.I) en selle sur New Bay. Il remporte sa soixante-dixième course de plat en selle sur Gaius Caesar dans le Quinté du jeudi 13 août sur l’hippodrome de Clairefontaine et passe professionnel.
